The hostel is in a very accessible part of town, just a short walk from the nearest subway station. the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities are great. Our room was small but well-equipped, and we could tell it had been recently renovated.
Felt warm, no complaints whatsoever.

The hostel had great facilities, including ample-sized rooms and comfortable beds. The coffee was delicious and the showers provided hot water. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the stay enjoyable.
The lockers in the hostel were a bit small and the location was difficult to find, especially at night. It would be helpful if there was better signage and directions to guide guests from the main road.

Great location - only a 10-minute walk from the metro and easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. The bar had a good selection of drinks and the garden was beautiful and perfect for relaxing in the evening. The staff were fantastic and very helpful, which is not always the case at other hostels.
The location was quite bad, hidden and dirty, which made it difficult to find the hostel. It was also a good distance away from the nearest metro station.

I had a fabulous stay at Hidden Garden International Youth Hostel. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially when I needed advice on how to reach the hostel from Pudong airport at night. The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. The location was also convenient, with the metro station just a 15-minute walk away. Despite being in a quieter neighborhood, it only took me 30 minutes to walk to the Orient Pearl Tower through the Shanghai World Financial Center. I would highly recommend this hostel for its cleanliness, helpful staff, and reasonable price.

The bed was plush and comfortable, and the sheets seemed clean. The hostel had a beautiful design and a helpful and polite staff. The hot showers were excellent, and the hostel provided a cute pouch of toiletries. The location was convenient, close to a supermarket and restaurants with decent prices.
The air conditioning was weak, making it difficult to warm up the room. The construction and renovations in the area were a bit scary, especially when arriving late at night, but the staff did meet us outside.

I recently stayed at Hidden Garden International Youth in Shanghai for a week while traveling. The dormitory was comfortable with spacious lockers, perfect for my 70-liter backpack. The staff spoke excellent English, and the location was convenient with a nearby supermarket. I appreciated the free laundry facilities, which were great for long-term travel. The atmosphere was welcoming, with a mix of local and foreign guests. The beds were soft, and the bathrooms were clean and separate from the rooms. They also had a variety of delicious food and a wide selection of beers to try.
